Here I am , 1 day from Deepavali, sitting alone (well there is a hot chick here with me but it's more dramatic if I claim to be alone :P , besides she is off in another portion of the lab ) . Why am I alone ? Cause everyone else have gone back to whatever village or hole in the ground that has spawned them. Aghhhh being alone in the lab is not nice. It's scary like one of those haunted labs in those cheap horror movies where the guy working alone in the lab gets his brain sucked by tentacled experiments. (Looks back ... checks to see if jar holding tentacle thingy is still intact. Yup, all cool)
If it wasn't for the fact that the Vice Chancellor of UKM is going to visit later, I probably wouldn't even be here at all. Sigh. Why do all these VIPs insist on making life miserable for us.
Well, Deeparaya Madness doesn not seem to be supported with much enthusiasm. (Shame on you all). Some have to study *snigger* and some just can't make it. If don't get enough people we'll just scrape the idea altogether and gun for the next weekend instead. Of course, missing DotA makes me feel like something important is missing from the entire holiday spirit. It's ok, I'll just practice more and whup some of the less performing member of our still-unnnamed clan.
On a different note, I've managed to make Disgaea 2 work with my computer so the holidays won't be a total waste. I have been dreading the fact that due to the festive season I won't have access to the TV to play my PS with but that problem is solved. The program is called PCSX2 and it can be found here : http://www.pcsx2.net/
Before you get all excited and start touching yourself. The program doesn't give 100% support. There is a compatibility list in the site where you can see for yourself what games are supported. You still need to get the game and make an image of the disc to be stored in your hard disc. Some games have been fixed to the point that they can be played from start to finish but the experience will vary depending on your computer and settings. Newer systems are recommended for smooth PS2 like gameplay but I have seen posts in the forums of people using Celeron 1.6 GHz processors to play. If you've never played Final Fantasy 10 before and you have a decent computer you might want to check the emulator out. FF10 is one of the most compatible and stable game for the emulator. Good luck if you wanna try it, you can probably look for me or Sai to help you set up the emulator.
I'm still waiting for Kavi's birthday story. Wondering what constitutes as a best birthday ever. Want pics also ok.
Okay, I'm tired of typing now. I'm gonna do what I always do when I am bored in the lab, I'm gonna play the Windows Pinball ... sigh. Maybe I could install the emulator here ....(drool drool) but I'll probably be ratted on by the constant boot lickers here. So I bid you all a fond adieu and happy holidays. |
