Funny or memorable moment in DoTA

We have been on so many Dota section. I quite sure there are the time we laugh nonstop for a moment.

So far I only will put a little. Will put more if I remember more

There was once this happen…

Sai (Medusa): Chase them!

Magnus (?????): Sai! Put them to sleep!

Sai (Medusa): Errr… I can't

Warlock (Venomancer): He can't.

Magnus (??????): NO! Can one! Put them to sleep!

Warlock, Sai: ………

Just for your information, the character that can put people into sleep is Naga Siren, not Medusa. Magnus got them mixed up somehow just because they look alike.

meow!
Classes started yesterday.
it's INSANE.

the first lecture itself i was as blur as shit..
and then went home and nerded my butt upside down and managed to understand a little better.

scary start, really.

AHHH its alright i'll survive.

classes just ended. Looking into internet applications for the house. Its such a nuisance really since im staying in a almost-hostel concept type of place.. Without the internet communication is so difficult.

ok i gotta run. bus coming soon.

out!

bonjour! errm.. moshi moshi?
bitchesssssssssss...

hows everybody!

Im just almost done with accomodation.

Stopped by campus to use the computer since the temporary accomodation im at doesnt have a damn thing. no internet no nothing

The weather is so terribly erratic but it actually RAINED today. its summer now but its damn cold at night. so bloody cold i tell you. like a double powered genting highlands.

of course as expected it isnt all smooth sailing.
i suppose it'll get much better once i move into the house and set my stuff up because it really sucks living out of a suit case.

otherwise, the people here are really warm. very welcoming and friendly.
has made it a lot easier for me to settle down.
Classes start on Monday.. and now im thinking.. about.. how im going to carry my damn big luggage across town to my new house. LOL

Apparently during orientation we were told that adelaide water is very safe straight off the tap.
So since mineral water is pretty expensive here all we do is go into the bathroom everyday, fill our bottles up and drink the tahi water.
ok kidding. it does taste different but i've been to gujarat and after surviving water there, adelaide doesnt even stand close.
Still.. sometimes we DO wonder whether it is ALL THAT SAFE but ahhh drink only la.
try doing that back home la. mampus terus. =P

travelling here really is pretty convinient. very organised ticketing system plus they have free buses and trems so usually when we want to go shopping we just hop onto the free transportations and behave like hooligans. well, close.

alright i gotta run!!
its 6pm. time to get home and err.. look into..this thing called..COOKING.. though we havent started much we just grab roasted chicken and salads from supermarkets and come home and cook up a dish..

Oh by the way since its daylight saving now, until 8.30pm its actually so bright... like 8.30pm here would look like 6.30pm in malaysia.
its crazy!!

out.

Half Of 26-Year-Old's Memories DotA-Related
It's been a while( yes, a looong while) since we last posted anything dota-related. So here I'll would like to share a news report which I came across recently.

Half Of 26-Year-Old's Memories DotA-Related
January 12, 2008 | Issue 44•02

BROOKLYN, NY—Nearly 50 percent of 26-year-old paralegal Philip Jenkins' encoded long-term memories involve button combinations, game-playing experiences, and spatial-cognitive inhouses of various levels and scenes from DotA, a team of neuroscientists reported Tuesday.

The memory-evaluation study, headed by Dr. Franklin McCarroll of New York University's School of Psychology, revealed that approximately 47 percent of Jenkins' hippocampus is dedicated to storing notable DotA victories and frustrating last-minute defeats, while 32 percent of his amygdala contains embedded neurological scripts pertaining to game strategies, character back stories, theme songs, and game modes. In addition, his entire dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is devoted to remembering the time he did a triple triple triple kill from the fountain with Zeus at the buzzer to beat Virtus.Pr0 82-81 in the UEFA DotA league.

Jenkins makes room for new DotA version 6–based memories by eradicating moments from his high school graduation and a 1994 trip to a local aquarium when the popularity of version 5 series ceased abruptly.

Although these percentages are only slightly above the average for males in Jenkins' age bracket, McCarroll said that the memories most closely associated with the interactive gaming systems can be accessed far more quickly than any of his memories involving school, work, or family.

"It takes Mr. Jenkins 4.33 milliseconds to retrieve the memory of holding his newborn sister for the first time, but just 1.09 milliseconds to retrieve the memory of knocking Roshan off the minimap with Lanaya's 'meld-stack' maneuver in DotA 6.49b," McCarroll said. "In fact, the only school-related memory he is able to review as vividly as the Sandking-Epi-Blink and Aegis/Rapier-Stealing experiences is his first day of college, which was spent playing multiplayer Counter Strike with his roommates."

According to an fMRI of Jenkins' brain regions during the process of memory recall, his parietal lobe registers the same amount of activity when he hears the word "mother" as it does when he hears the words "Oww Shit!"

"Due to sheer repetition in his peak synaptic years for processing new information, every neural strand in Philip's basal ganglia is embedded with the DotA Code: -ap, -ar, -mm, -di, -hhn, -xl, -rd, -np, -om, -nt, -mr, -random, -nb, - nm, -id, -dm, -wtf, gg, omfg n00b" McCarroll said.

DotA-based memories are also among Jenkins' most frequently retrieved, researcher Dr. Francis Holbrook said. A series of recent tests suggest that when Jenkins accesses stored information in response to visual or mental cues, he is most likely to remember his family's trip to Disney World, followed by the time he beat the dreaded MYM|Merlini on -ardmwtf without losing a life, the first time he rode a bike, the exact route he made Bo Jackson run to defeat his friend Jason Whitner at Tecmo Bowl, hiding underneath his covers while his parents fought noisily in the adjoining room, and the locations of the secret shops in DotA Allstars.

"On Friday, we showed Mr. Jenkins a series of images meant to elicit memories of times of great pain and confusion in his life," Holbrook said. "The first two events that came to the fore of his psyche were an incident in late 2000 when the screen froze just as he was about to set a new 'most kills' record on DotA, and his great-grandmother's funeral."

Holbrook also suggested that as much as 17 percent of Jenkins' cerebellum capacity may be filled with motor-coordination skills of the various gaming system controllers, including the Power Glove, the Power Pad mat, and the special joystick issued by Techmo for the Super Deluxe *Uncensored* edition of DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2.

Some researchers have theorized that the amount of space Jenkins' brain allocates for DotA-based memories has resulted in damage to or the complete loss of his non-DotA-based memories. They note that although Jenkins cannot remember his father's cell phone number (415-547-6823) off the top of his head, he can recite without hesitation the password that allows you to change the weather and terrain in DotA Allstars v6 (-weather rain, snow, moonlight, dust, -terrain snow).

In a parallel study, a team of Columbia University behavioral psychologists suggested that DotA-related feats and accomplishments also account for approximately 75 percent of Jenkins' self-esteem.

"Unsurprisingly, Mr. Jenkins' self-perception draws from the most important moments in his life, and is framed largely by the time he hit a game-winning grand slam with Meepo in Yahooligan!'s Prime Defending #3 to help the New York team win the tournament," Dr. Gary Nordstrom said. "It is not uncommon for men his age to measure themselves by their greatest athletic achievements, and this is without a doubt Mr. Jenkins'."

The findings also revealed that about 60 percent of Jenkins' repressed memories may involve DotA. In a Rorschach inkblot test administered to him, Jenkins compared a series of amorphous shapes to a bird eating its young, his mother brandishing a broadsword, and the entire cast of characters from DotA Allstars.

P/S: n kavi, we r all gonna miss u.. take care of urself in ozzie n enjoy urself... dun spoil ur mood by missing us all terribly ;p
