So here's the deal. Once activated streamyx was working fine until yesterday.
The issue that occurs is that once I launch the connection and connect everything is fine and dandy, but about an hour later the connection goes dead. I cannot disconnect either streamyx or the lan connection, I can't open the connection for streamyx (it just flashes for a split second and vanishes but the icon is still in the taskbar). Manually shutting off/unplugging modem doesn't change this.
On top of this I strangely lose access to my volume control as well.
The only way I've found to resolve this is to reset and then reconnect. No problems until an hour later where the process repeats. Ram did some tweaks and I ran my antivirus but nothing changed. Only happened yesterday so I'm hoping some line anomaly is causing this........ |

Completely weird, but my internet problem did not occur at all yesterday.
Not that I'm complaining, but it seems really strange to me because if it was a problem with my PC or modem then it simply must happen repeatedly because that's how computers are right.
Which leads me to believe that its something wrong with the line that has since been resolved over the weekend. I figure this error caused my connection to drop without actual disconnection and the error with my modem/LAN.
Anyways, I got a laptop to test with today just in case, so if it does happen I will leave the laptop connected till morning to see if it happens with that machine.
On the plus side its great being able to go home, download the latest episodes of my fave shows and then watching them during dinner. I'd say I'm up for GArena now, but I want to make sure this internet problem doesn't happen again first
