So I wrote a rather long post and then lost it all only to discover that blogger saved a million drafts but that all the drafts are a small fraction of my post. I can check them all and delete and have to do it one by one which is though considering my office have gayer internet speeds than my Celcom 3G.
Anyways, I got my phoneline activated yesterday and am supposed to call the streamyx people to deliver my modem to the shop today morning. Its just the modem with disc and I do the rest myself. I'm paying RM110 per month for 1mbps with the line rental rolled in as a package. I don't know if I'm getting a raw deal, but anyone know of any other decent packages since its not too late to change it up. RM140 for 2mbps and RM160 for 4mbps. I don't really mind paying the RM160 for 4mbps (its again the package which includes line rental).
Any suggestions? Advice? Thoughts on the rates/fees |

Sadly upon checking with streamyx the 2mbps and 4mbps packages are not available in my area so I have to be content with 1mbps.
I sure hope there's no problems with this streamyx so I can finally cancel the useless shit that is my 3G service :D

Haha! finally. Welcome to the Streamyx family. 1mbps line is ok. Ur package is it the one include phone and Internet together like a combo package? We are using 1.5mbps with rm88/month not including the phone bill.

By the way if u have any problem setting up can call us anytime.Save money. now i think if u want them to set up for u have to pay like rm 50 or rm80.

Its phone line and internet together. I don't think I'm saving much really. Anyway not like I'm going to incur costs by paying for phonecalls anyway.
Its basically dummy work to set it up, connect modem, stick disc in and click the "next" button over and over. All I need now is the goods and my user name/password. They said tomorrow or Friday but not holding my breath.

Alright ! Welcome the Streamyx user group. Just don't hold your breath and expect a good internet connection. In Malaysia, the keyword is "Boleh" if you "boleh" surf the net then you shut up and don't complain :p
Let us know when you are done with the modem config and stuff , i am sure Sai will have some tweaks and stuff to help you get the most out of your line.

Still waiting they supposed to deliver the modem package to the outlet in Wangsa Maju and I collect from there. No news though.
