The Spectre sat in silent contemplation, savouring the solace of the refuge near the fountains. The last confrontation had been particularly brutal to this frail corporeal body she now uses.
Far away she can sense the her comrades are about to join in combat against their foes. Sentinel, Scourge, both are just names now in this battlefield where both sides are as dark as the other. For Mercurial, unlife has changed her perspective and all she now wants is to wage eternal war on the living.
She feels the first tingles of bloodlust within Abaddon and knows it is time...
*** Crixalis stares at charging Sentinel forces and that this will be deciding battle. The Sandking searches battlefield for his embittered foes and spots Abaddon charging in with his Aphotic Shield and Terrorblade providing support from behind. The Lord of Avernus had emerged stronger than he had been, with new powers and changed abilities but the greatest surprise had been the foe who had yet to reveal herself. Elsewhere, he could see that Barathrum and Boneclinkz had doubled back for an ambush at Terrorblade.
As the two armies collided, he knew had lost the luxury of contemplation, and called forth the dark powers of the desert to aid him. He burrowed deep within the earth to emerge behind his enemy, leaving behind a devastating trail of razor spikes tearing apart all in its way, except Abaddon...
Protected by the magical energies of his shield he was unharmed in any way. Still, Crixalis had achieved his goal, to dispel the shield around Abaddon and disorient him long enough to him to awaken the elemental spirits fo the earth.
At that moment chaos ensured, haunting images of the Spectre appeared all around them, one for each hero. It was too late however, Epicenter had already begun.
As the ground tossed and shook, the haunting beside him began to waver, suddenly, someone seemed to step out of the image, solidifying into reality. His foe had finally revealed her true self!
Crixalis charged at the spectre, pincers and sting hungry for blood. He crashed into opposing force however, reflecting the fury of his attack back at himself. At that moment he felt a sharp blade cleaving into his and furious roar, "DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK AT ME! I AM YOUR OPPONENT!"
Mercurial looked dispassionately as the weakened Crixalis struggled against Abaddon and turn her attention towards Barathrum and the undead archer's ambush at Terrorblade.
Time to even the odds.
"Oh, my. Have I created a monster?" a voice said. Mercurial stopped and looked for the source of those words, finding to her surprise, a small ice frog waving at her.
She knew unlife had unhinged her mind somewhat, but this was ridiculus.
"Don't get too comfortable. There are still some chinks we need to iron out before we release you onto the masses." The ice frog said.
"..."
"Uhm, yeah, well... just wanted to you to know that you will probably be nerfed soon. Bye" and then frog dissappeared without a trace leaving a very bewildered spectre with uneasy feeling around the word nerf.
***
Oh, yeah! The new Mercurial kicks ass so bad that its broken. I feel a nerf coming soon... |

Oh man that battle sucked. I hate mercurial. I hate abbadon. I hate barathrum too for not being able to stand his ground in battle and not die in 3 seconds. Damn it all! Ok, must think happy thoughts now..... ("raindrops keep falling on my head").........
