Today will be the last day in this year I'm in Kajang and also the ability to access the Internet. Unfornately for Taiwanese and also for us. The downtime for the Internet has began and will last for another three weeks because of the Taiwan 7.1 Earthquake. Luckily this time the Earthquake doesn't really do much harm. It's just our Internet surfing have to suffer a bit.

I will have a 4 day weekend and will be available for action from the 29th December (night) until the 1st of January, the 2nd is reserved especially for sleeping.
There has been talk of parties from the KL crowd but as usual it will most likely turn out to be nothing but smoke and mirrors. So we can DotA, we can go out somewhere, or we can do nothing. | I had a Merry Christmas |
So basically the 3-day weekend was filled up constantly hanging out with my aunt and 3 cousins who came down from Manila in the Philippines, well the cousins are studying in Sydney, Australia.
We went out and ate a lot, and I mean a LOT of meat. Blood pressure spiking. Cholesterol levels rising. My heart is about to brutally rupture out of my chest.
It was really fun though. I'm basically the last man standing in Malaysia since every one of my relatives that are in my age group is overseas and not planning to come back to Malaysia EVER. Most of my cousins are pretty cool and fun to hang with, which makes it extra lame here now that they've left.
To console myself I bought my new computer monitor out our last outing yestersday. We went to Low Yatt and I got the Acer 19 widescreen LCD. Its gorgeous! I was going to buy a 20 inch Dell widescreen because it had the normal composite input (yellow plug) for my PS2, but it cost 1400 bucks, the Acer only cost 660. Can you believe it more that twice the price for an extra inch and a plug that isn't even worth a buck.
Its better to buy 3 Acer 19 inch widescreens than 1 Dell 20 inch. Its ridiculous how they expect people to pay double for a marginal increase in screen size.
Now I just need to get a composite to VGA converter to connect my XboX and PS2 to the monitor. I don't wanna get a TV Card because I don't want to have to have my computer running while I'm playing with my consoles.
Xenosaga 3 rocks!! I love KOS MOS. I don't know why but I love KOS MOS, I get so emo whenever it looks like she might bite the dust. Very powerful moments from all 3 episodes of Xenosaga. What's worse, the more I play Xenosaga the more I hate FF XII, the more I feel cheated by that game. I want that 90+ hours of my life back. I was shocked to discover that I wasn't the only one either. Just go to the Gamefaqs message board an you'll find dozens of topics complaining about lack of character development, sucky plot etc etc etc. And I am an FF fanboy so its not without reason that I say that FF XII is without a doubt the worst FF game I have ever played (I've plaved everything from FF 7 onwards, including Tactics and Vagrant Story).
I saw a KOS MOS model in Low Yatt for 199 and I wanted to buy it, but spent half an hour talking myself out of it. Maybe I'll get it if I don't go for any new years parties.
So guys, are we doing anything this coming weekend? Please let me know, I may or may not have some kinda new years party to attend. I prioritize DotA though simply because of the fact that I'm at the age where I don't really care about drinking and partying anymore. I'll create a topic for New Years so comment there.
Its bound to be a slow week at work for me. Plus now I feel extra bored with the relatives gone. |

| Fun but tiring trip |
It was fun to go KL again after so long and most importantly to be albe to meet all the old frens especially the Sanbaka (:P). I have been lazing in the bed for 2 days, just too tired to do anything, probably i didnt get enuf sleep due to the heinous shopping spree mode we were on. We hunted down every single shops and outlets in our sight.
Luckily this time, nothing really bad happen. phew............sigh of relief...............before that, i had a bad feeling something will go wrong in this trip mostly pertaining peer preasures, but everything turned out alright., alrighty. I planned to visit some of my RO frens also especially my RO lil sister but due to time constrain which cant be undone, i decided to drop my plan, sad, sad.........But it's a happy thing just to know that these wonderful RO people still remember me and actually play SMS. I have met most of my RO gang members in Kuching (all are like my lil bro, so young but more talented in gaming).
Just nice that i got my bonus a day before i departed to KL. So, i was in hyper shopping spree mode. When i was home, my mum asked me how much i bought this and that, and i actually forgot the prices, just grabbed what i like which i can afford.
Still tired and now i got tonnes of work waiting, there will be a little discussion today and i have proposal due in a month time. And now working on experiments for presentation in June. Probably will be at KL again for the presentation. can go hug hug warlock again. bleh.
Oh, just want to clarify something, did i forgot the close the gate? because we were in a big rush, was actually in midvalley and the long queue to get the commuter tickets really suffocate me, we were late and the good taxi driver were waiting for us. If so, i apologize. :P but i locked every single lock i can find. Thanks dudes for letting me stay at ur place.

hehehe.. im in slight hyper-mode now so please close one eye to all the typos/bullshit..
PD was funnnn!! except i had a terrible flu attack on the 2nd day..throwing me out of action for quite a while..
First day was a bit tireing for me.. i dont like long distance drives too much..
Dinner was WAYYYYY too filling.. and me being a small eater, it doesnt help at all..
Dont bother bringing me to buffets.. i eat a plate or two of food and im basically in the feed-me-anymore-food-and-i-will-puke state..
I was sitting with the younger kids.. so i had to stand up and serve em' everytime new dishes were layed on the table.. i have a soft spot for children so i dont mind doing it.. plus the stand-up-sit-down routine would have given me a tiny hint of a muscle.. *i always hope*
And after dinner we had the routine sing-your-heart-out-even-when-no-one-is-listening programme.. and thank god there was some dancing or i would have fallen flat on my face..
I was contemplating pulling Warlock up to dance Shakira's Hips Dont Lie but he was almost frantically snapping pictures..
I miss dancing to these songs la.. maybe i should just go to a club with Adole and shake my goods with him :P *in the presence of warlock and his parang, of course*
The last i actually had a good time dancing was at prom.. and its hard to do the dirty/hip-shaking/shake-watcha-mama-gave-ya kinda dance with relatives .. because they look at me like "wtf?"
Moving on..
i shall skip the 2nd day because i was basically down with a flu and all i did was take part in a volleyball game and completely embarass myself..
3rd day.. BEACH!! yay.. i got to see warlock in TRUNKS...
and i was peacefully playing with the children in the water until warlock showed up and started attacking my feet underwater.. i almost died of an asthma attack because i had to run away from that vicious-feet-fetish-scary-cousin of mine.. okay that was a complete exaggaration but ahhh..
All in all it was just good to have a relaxing gathering after years of activity-filled gatherings..and it was a good opportunity to really get to spend some quality time with the others..
Ive been terribly addicted to El NinYo and Irreplaceable... i might need rehab soon..

Ok first things first. I am still alive .. this is not my vengeful spirit finding it's way online. I am terribly sorry for the lack of posts this entire week. i've just been so damn busy ... sigh.
Somehow I got involved in a "Basics In Biotechnology" course for Science teachers in schools, so come January I will have to teach a bunch of teachers about Biotech labwork ! Yikes. I was hoping that it is going to be some simple mock experiments but unfortunately my bosses in UKM are pretty ambitious and wants to give the teachers the whole shebang complete with genomic DNA extraction from leaves to DNA cloning and manipulation ...
Aiyo ... me head spin spin. I've been in the lab for 1 week straight optimizing the experiments and producing enough DNA for the control experiments so that is why I haven't been posting for so long ... as I am writing this I am dreading another loooooong day.
On another note, Adole came down from Kuching and is bunking at my place. It is nice to meet up with him after so long, got to catch up with lots of things. Went to LowYat with Sai and Siriuz last weekend to check up on Sai's spoilt graphic card which he sent for servicing/repairs. He went to the place paid RM30 and came back .. only to find that the card was not fixed ! When he called the place they asked him to bring his graphic card and his computer to be checked out .. Sai told them that there is nothing wrong with his computer as it can handle his older graphic card without any problem. They still asked him to bring his computer and graphics card there and guess what .. he has to PAY THE CHARGE ALL OVER AGAIN ! What was the RM30 for then ? Man these guys suck ..
Managed to drop by Berjaya Times Square on the way back .. camwhored a bit with the Christmas trees (pics coming soon). Most importantly managed to go to Borders and get 2 new books ...
:) Christmas is here early for me ... now I just have to wait until I get home so I can sink my fangs into Book I and II.
 
Since we can't get enough people to play DotA online using Hamachi we've been trying out other maps, the one that really stands out would be Night Of The Dead : Aftermath. It is a damn cool zombie-survival game with the main theme being exposure to the USMC (United States Marine Corps.) .. damn, Marines are cool. Of course we get killed time and time again but it sure beats the hell out of playing DotA with 4 people or worse .. 5 people.
Will be having a family gathering for 3 days in Port Dickson, will blog more when I return.

time flies by so quick la!! it felt like just yesterday i left for Cambodia!
the flight home was fun actually.. it was so full of turbulence but it was so funnn..
pity my mom though she had a little bit of a tough time with all the shaking..
My first time at LCCT.. first time flying with Air Asia..before this ive always taken MAS..
LCCT was fun la but KLIA is like..more canggih..haha..
Cambodian people...they are so sweet..so humble.. BUT omgggg the child labour there is TERRIBLE..
TINY children are made to work..and sell things to tourist.. and they bugg us a few metres before they actually leave us alone..and its hard to say no especially when they look so pityful..
But anyways.. at least i learnt a word or two in Khmer..
Otherwise,everything else is going good for me..
checked my results online the moment i got home (yes trust me i wanted to check at cambodia but i was worried it might ruin my holidays..and the agony of waiting was just..ahh!!)
Good enough for me la..i qualify for most of the courses that i want to do..
now the question is deciding on ONE.. *gulp*..

So the good news is that the old fire-breathing dragon a.k.a. the boss/manager (is it okay to actually call them managers if they don't manage?) is gone for the rest of the year after today. The bad news is that we're all running around like headless chickens trying to sort out whatever need to go through her (i.e. EVERYTHING!!!).
I've been having hot and wet dreams about getting a new casing that I saw. Yes its totally shallow and does not improve the performance of my computer in any way, but it looks so purty.

Not been very productive lately, just hanging around and wasting my life away. I've also been studying for this stupid LSAT exam I have to take. You all know how much I have exams, but I've got to do this to have a shot at a scholarship to do law in the USA and be with my fiancee, and my fiancee is really hot so I'm motivated :D Still, its not so much studying as it is learning problem solving methods, there's no facts to memorize and stuff its all literally brainteasers, basically an IQ test on steroids. So that exam is on the 10th of February 2007 in Singapore of all places. I can't do it here so I have to take a trip down there after work on Friday the 9th and sit for the paper the next day. My life sucks. So that's all my computer casing money gone. Well I've got to go, but check back here later, I'll probably add more to this post in the evening |

Watched Eragon
It was a good movie. Of course it just does not even compare to “The Lord of the Rings”. Damn Peter Jackson, I love him for giving us LotR but I hate him for ruining every other fantasy movie. So Eragon is good, not fantastic, but its clearly building up for a second and maybe third movie, just hope it does well enough for a sequel to be made. Its feels a bit Star Wars like, just substitute “dragon rider” with “jedi knight”.
Playing Online with the Raving Lunatics via Hamachi
Hamachi is quite easily one of the greatest programs I have ever installed on my PC. No need to deal with that “blue server” crap, now we can log on and play with each other online. So far its DotA when there’s enough people. We really should play Judgement Day more. I really sucked at it though, I can’t read any of the descriptions on my TV. Its not so bad for DotA since I already know what is where and recognise the icons and recipe requirement, but with Judgement Day I don’t even know what is what.
Looks like if we are going to play seriously I will have to buy myself a monitor. I saw an Acer 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor going for RM690 at Imbi Plaza. Do you guys think it’s a worthwhile buy? I’d thought of buying an LCD TV, like a 32 inch one but the prices are just was too high. Problem is that my TV is flickering a lot these days and I worry I might start having seizures watching it and I still need something to play PS2 and Xbox one. Well I’ll sort it out eventually.
Night of the Living Dead is a way cool Warcraft map. Its was loads of fun except the code I wrote down didn’t work, though that could be an error on my part. Plus it is so small and the units are kinda boring looking. SWAT vs. Resident Evil is something I’m not sure how I feel about. Its fun but the fact that you can suddenly die and that its impossible to revive at early levels takes the piss out of it.

Playing Xenosaga Episode 3: Also Sprach Zaratusthra
I love this game and I enjoy the combat way more than I did FF XII’s battle system. Well I enjoy it when the game actually lets me play since true to the Xenosaga series there is a LOT of cutscenes in there to go through. One annoying thing is that there are a lot of segments with spoken dialogue where you have to press a button to go to the next sentence. It’s a stupid thing since you can easily spend an hour pressing nothing but the O button over and over to get to the next line. They should have made it automatic.
The E.S. (the robots they use) combat is the best out of the series so far. It doesn’t beat Xenogears, partly because the robots in Xenogears were so bloody cool looking. But with all those cool super moves and finally being able to activate your Vessel of Anima, it just rocks.

I already have Limewire Pro, but as far as movies go it really sucks. Actually Limewire seems to be in decline lately, I can never find a healthy supply of anything these days. On the adivice of a friend I downloaded a program called “Bearshare” but I can’t test it out just yet since my resolution is too low to properly view the window, and of course if I increase the resolution I can’t read anything. So I’m looking for some advice from the technocrats on this blog.
Is Bearshare any good? I’ve been thinking of downloading eMule or was it eDonkey but I’m not sure, I used it like a year or so ago but then it suddenly became extremely difficult to download and at time wouldn’t download even when 100 people were online with the file I wanted. Limewire of course is filled with junk downloads.
As far as Torrent downloaders go I’ve got BitComet installed, its always worked fine for me and I like the interface, but I’m looking for some decent torrent sites. Right now I mostly go to Mininova, but are there any better ones to check out? Please post links when you comment.
Spending most of Saturday trying to install my goddamn hard drive
So despite the advice of the Ravers, I went and bought a Maxtor 250GB SATA hard disk instead of a Seagate. I got conflicting advice from my friends in K.L. with one in particular having gone through 3 Seagate HDDs and all of them crashed, but had a good ride with Maxtor. Plus seeing as how Maxtor now owns Seagate I guess it makes little difference.
The reason I was having a problem was that everyone was telling me to focus on this whole master/slave thing. How it works is that for CD-ROM/DVD-ROM and Hard Disk Drives (HDD) you have channels on your motherboard, one channel is basically one plug and you attach the cable and connect 2 devices. One must be set as master and the other as slave.
However both my HDDs the new and the old were plugged into 2 separate channels and so both were masters. Problem was that Windows would detect my new HDD but would not install it and kept listing it as a removable device. Turns out that Windows support for SATA HDDs is a bit dodgy so I have to manually install is after digging knee deep into some menus and I had to modify my registry so that SATA devices are not listed as removable. Also, SATA HDDs do not have a master/slave setting, all SATA HDDs are masters unlike the older IDE HDDs.
So if anyone ever buys a SATA HDD be warned, plus if you’re having problems I can show you how to deal with it now. At least I’ve got more space than I know what to do with, spent some time on Sunday copying all kinds of stuff. |

Just got home from the gathering.. man this things can be exhausting..
was on the run the whole night because me and my cousin Lali were incharge of the presents and all.. plus i had a tiny dance..
glad its all over... was nice to mingle with a bunch of orphans that were brought from a neaby orphanage.. a sense of satisfaction when you are able to make them happy.. or at least put a smile on their faces.. was thoughtful of the organisers to bring them in and allow them some mixing around..
sorry no pics.. i didnt bring my camera because i was in such a hurry to get ready and stuff , i barely had time to put on my heels okay i jumped into the car barefooted.. -.-"

| Holiday mood |
It's this time of the year again when i m experiencing holiday mood. It's sweeping me off the ground again. But then again, it's the best feeling i ever had. With Christmas and New Year coming soon and then Chinese New Year, plus it's about time to get my bonus soon, it's one of the happiest moment in my life!! Oh ya, Warlock, sms me ur house address ler, i think we will be taking the cab tonite. Christmas oh Christmas. I just wished that Malaysia snow somehow. Christmas without pure white snow is not all Christmas, but most important of all, it's the feeling that counts.
I m a bit hyped today, hahaha, probably going to meet with our fellow coursemates. It has been 3 long years. I m looking forward to that day.
I m still working today, until 5 and the flight is at 8, so have to reach airport and chect in by 7. I havent pack yet (typical me). Today is like honeymoon day for me, i m over the moon now. |

i dread long distance trips la.. yes yes Seremban is long distance for me.. :P
i cant wait to start driving!!! im so ultra-semangat now.. i wanna get into a car and whooooom on the highway.. haha!

| The Utility of Gaming |
So I finished Final Fantasy XII for a second time this weekend, just to see the ending again. No I didn't play through the whole game, just finished it from my latest save file. So I got the Deathbringer, Zodiac Spear, Ultima Blade, and all the Espers except Chaos, Ultima and Zodiac.
I decided then that I would stop playing the game. It stopped being fun about 20 hours into the game itself and I just kept playing for the sake of seeing the plot turned out. The Espers sucked and were unimaginative and their super moves were mostly boring, and sometimes incredibly taxing to pull off. The combat didn't feel fun either, none of the characters had cool moves or spells, they just weren't as good as previous FFs. Even the Mist Quickenings were quite lame compares to Omnislash, Renzokouken, or Blitz Ace.
I just went onto youtube and watched the videos of the deathblows of the last three Espers I didn't get. After all, spending another 20 hours of my life playing and hunting (which mostly involves running for hours, nothing but running, and boy they run slow) is not my idea of fun, unless the gameplay is compelling.
That's when I started playing Xenosaga 3, and I'm already enjoying it more than FF XII. I feel bad though, I really REALLY wanted to love FF XII, but I just don't. The villain was non-existent (although Cid was pretty cool). Combat boring. Spell effects were bad. And oh god the espers, they make me wanna cry. I mean...the ultimate esper is a worm/larva. I miss Anima and Bahamut.
Back to the actual topic of the post. I began thinking about how I spend a good deal of time playing video games. Time that could be used to further my educational pursuits. Time to make myself physically stronger. Time to go out with people and socialise. Time to watch movies. Time to take up other hobbies.
Is there any point to gaming? That was the question. Would I be better off just not wasting anymore time. After all, hundreds of hours of my life, perhaps thousands have been used up with little to show for it besides so memories or cutscenes that I could have just seen by downloading or streaming them online, and some ones and zeros on a memory card.
An example of this would be FFX. Ive easily spent at least 160 hours on that game. I don't even have a save file of it. I'd like to here anyone else's take on this.
Since I am a gamer by nature you can expect me to defend gaming rather than bash it. If I might point on, there is no more point to spending 5 hours a day gaming than 5 hours overtime so you can afford to buy a Mercedes. You would have to think, what is the point of having that car. It doesn't make you live longer. It doesn't generate income. It performs a function that you can achieve in a myriad of simpler and less intensive methods.
I don't think there's much point to anything you do in life. No matter how much money you make, or how strong you become, or how smart.....you're ultimately worm food. What's important is doing the things that make you happy, that bring you pleasure. Its surrounding yourself with people who share the same interests as you. Its about having fun.
Clearly any intelligent person will tell you that there's no point in only having fun. Of course this is true, you need to survive first, you need income to function in this world and the use in furthering your own enjoyment. After that minimum level of functionality is taken care off its really up to you. Whether you enjoy gaming, watching TV, sports, reading, studying, advancing your career, driving around in a Mercedes, or watching Malaysians get their butts handed to them in sporting events.
I don't think there's any one right answer. They're all the right thing to do, for the sole reason that it makes life enjoyable for you. Of course there will be times when people, even loved ones whom you know and trust will try to stop you, to push their thinking of what should be fun and what you should do with your life onto you. Their idea is correct....for them, not necessarily for you.
So I'm going to keep on gaming because its what I enjoy. It makes me happy and allows me to pass my time on earth feeling satisfied with my life. I worry that one day someone might try to force me to work hard to buy a big house, or a luxury car, or expensive suits, or just to get more money. I'm afraid that the woman I marry will do this to me someday. Its funny because people say they love you, but do they really, they love you but try to change you, try to tell you that who and what you are needs to change. How is that love, its nothing more than someone else telling you they know better than you and that you should listen to them under the guise or love, which is utilised for something so base as inflicting guilt upon you to make you conform.
I've felt like this for some time. Mostly from relatives. They claim to love and care about me, but the truth is that most of them just can't seem to handle and accept me for who I am, and this is just as far as gaming is concerned. These people think its okay to spend a day plastered in front of the TV, or reading a book, yet gaming is bad.
I'm tired of people claiming love. Mostly liars and charlatans they are. I am afraid. All I wanted was to be able to do the things I enjoy in this world. Eat well, eat what I like and health be damned. To have lots of sex. To play video games. To go out drinking with friends occasionally. To play DotA with the gang every once in awhile. I have no ambitions to work like a dog for a big house, or a car, or mutual funds. I already have everything I've ever wanted.
Yet now I feel trapped. Cornered like a rat surrounded my cats. I'm engaged to a woman I love. And I'm supposed to migrate to the USA. And then get married, get a job, have kids. Yet I am afraid. I am afraid of this....
I've never been afraid of death, ever, but now I fear it because of who I will leave behind. I cannot enjoy eating like a pig because I must think about my health and appearance. I'm supposed to have ambition because we must buy a big house instead of just renting an apartment, because we need 2 or 3 cars. I need to worry about retirement and savings instead of blowing wads of cash having the party of life. I need to worry that being a girl she is incapable of understanding gaming and will try to change me. Again....I love YOU....but....not this you..the you that I'm going to turn you into is who I love.
So here I am at a massive turning point in my life. To have everything you've ever wanted for yourself, enough money, entertainment, your own place to stay (who gives a shit that its rented). I could have a permanent position in an Oil and Gas company here with nice working hours and decent pay. But then, there is love.....
To give it all up for the unknown, just for that shot to live happily ever with the girl and ride off into the sunset. Is it worth it? Who knows? I think it is, and most times the greatest rewards in life come from the things that scare the shit out of us.
Still....is it love...I know I love for I do not seek to change. How can someone love YOU if they seek to change you. I am afraid...because I can't be anything but me....the rest is lies...and you can't hide the truth.
I guess I'm also stressed that I have to sit for bloody exams on 10th of February next year and go to Singapore to do so. Nothing can make you want to be single and alone forever more than the prospect of studying for an exam.
In the end, the truth must be that my hesitation is not that I will miss Malaysia or the people here, I'm not the homesick type. It must be that its starting to dawn on me that I will have to be a different person if I go there, and that if I don't change the whole arrangement will just implode.
Maybe I've watched too much TV, that I've convinced myself that being single is a horrible thing. I already know that if I was not engaged now, I wouldn't put much effort into dating. That instead I would spend my time getting fat and being lazy. Its not that I hate women, its just that being alone isn't that horrible pit people would have you believe it is. I don't mean totally alone, I just mean being single.
I think all the divorces in the world just happen because people have convinced themselves they need to find that significant other. But I'm not so sure....

Heya!
the continuous late nights are taking a toll on me..i've been staying up 5 days in a row catching all the live badminton matches..... i need sleep but i have so many things to look into this week..
i have to study for undang.. i have to try to fit in time to have lunch with a friend who's going to be flying home to Sarawak on tuesday.. i have to do a lot of preparatory work for a gathering this friday... AHHH..
my results will be out in a week's time.. im nervous!
and then i have to look into Uni applications... and the thought of possibly flying off next year is a little bit intimidating.. i keep telling my parents i just want to stay here but obviously thats not going to happen.. haha.. YES i am a very super uber duper homely person.. quit rolling your eyes now..
alrighty enough rantings.. moving on to better news..
The unseeded young malaysian pairing has won the Asian Championships gold medal in the badminton men's doubles event.. and im very very satisfied!
quite an achievement actually..especially if you've been following their progress throughout this taurnament..
i took some pictures of them playing on tv..hahaha yes i watched the repeat of the match twice because they were just awesome!
will post pics when im in the mood to upload it into the com..

How true is it? I cant seems to grasp the very idea of it. How can someone be ignorant and yet be happy at the same time. Of course to certain extent it sounds true. But overall, i think it's bad, very bad for everybody. I used to be an ignorant little runt that only knows only about myself, a selfish kind of person, that was when i was in secondary school. I am the insensitive type that knew no other people's feeling aside from mine alone. I dunno how many people's feelings i had hurt. Of course, it was joyous for me cause i was being ignorant. As for now, I am rather sensitive (maybe a little bit over the border) and i experienced many wonderful things comparatively to during my state of ignorance by being A BIT busybody but sometime i feel as if i had been wounded emotionally.
So the question is, be ignorant and you'll get blissful ending or vice versa?

Nothing like a good kick in the groin of health to remind you that you're not immortal. Although since I never took instruction well this has not left a lasting impression on me, beyond strengthening my hatred for the unhygenic manner in which food is prepared in this country.
No oily foods. No spicy foods. What the fuck am I supposed to eat?!?!?!
I've been suffering from Final Fantasy Postpartum Depression. Now that the game is over all thats left to do is complete my collection and fight Omega. I want to collect Espers, but honestly they're so pussified I don't know if I even want to waste my time. Oh well gotta do it, video game addiction is forcing me too.
I'll be changing the power supply in my computer today as well as installing my new CPU cooler. If I don't check back in here after a few days do assume the worst.
I'm not sure if I can make Salty Peanuts III's birthday party. I made plans for Friday and am open for DotA Saturday morning. I think that might not happen though because of the party. So I guess that its most probable that I'll just stay in KL and work on my applications this weekend, I need a rest after the last weekend of spewing.
Oh yes, so we once again have another case of a dude that converted to islam and then converted back to christianity and had his name and IC details changed to match it...and is now dead. However the islamic authorities don't wanna release his body because they insist he is muslim and that the details in his IC don't matter and are irrelevant. What worries me is that these people are ignoring Identification Card details now. It doesn't matter if your card says your hindu or christian they can come up to you and tell you you're muslim. Sounds like it to me.
Que the politicians chanting "Sensitive Issue" and "Beware May 13th" etc. etc.
Of course I'd say hey, the dumbasses wanna give me a free funeral? Go right on ahead, everyone know I'm not a muslim anyway let them waste money on my corpse. Still religion is a funny thing, the man is dead and gone yet his family is fighting to have his rotting sack of meat put into the ground with appropriate verses chanted in the process?
Religion is a personal matter, I don't understand how any idiot can believe they are able to control people this way. I also don't get idiots who let their practice of religion be controlled by anyone besides themselves. Let this be a lesson to all of you out there. Never EVER convert in this country. Nothing is wrong with islam per se, nothing more wrong than any other religion. But in Malaysia converting is a one way ticket to massive problems for yourself and your family. It doesn't just limit itself to how you're buried, even your distribution of assets upon death is in danger.
If you want to get married to a muslim but both of you are open minded and don't really wanna get all religious, leave the country, run for your life and move somewhere else. Naturally Iran might not be your first choice for immigration. There's just too much intereference from the bloody 'authorities' here. If I was in the evil, morally decrepid western societies I could be any religion I want and when I die I can specify how I wanna be buried or let my family decide. Heck I could be a lifelong bhuddist and get buried according to orang asli rites if I felt like it.
You don't get that here. In theory you do until you join 'the club' then your life will never be your own, nor your own flsh and blood. Don't these people get it that this kind of attitude just makes their religion less palatable to everyone else. Sigh.

Have been DotAing well for the past few days. Hamachi works but still the connection sometimes get severed due to some noob host (Chino) ha ha .. well I guess Streamyx is to blame for having an unstable line. Experienced lag for the first time using hamachi ... wasn't so bad since it was still playable.
Yesterday was Newbie's birthday and today is Sai's birthday. We went out to celebrate .. watched Casino Royale and Battle of Wits. Both were really nice , I would write more but my gums are swollen and I am in a either in a world of pain or I can see pink elephants after my meds. :) You guys have to excuse me for this week .. |

| My weekend in Hell |
So by now most of you know that I pulled out of our weekend DotA session. Sadly I was stricken with massive food poisoning and spent my weekend spewing forth my essense from various orificies.
It was painful, sickening, debilitating. Drifting in and out of consciousness. All I wanted was to defeat Warlock again and pee on him, but I didn't even have enough fluids in me to urinate. Diahorrea. Vomiting. Chunks of rice and chilli in my nose.
Spent the whole of Saturday sleeping trembling with fever and watching Tv for a bit when I wasn't puking...until watching TV made me feel even more like puking. Sunday sucked too. All the while I was tormented non-stop by my evil grandmother whose sole goal in life was interrogating me about what I ate, not because it would help cure me, but to prove that it wasn't her cooking that gave me food poisoning.
Terribly sorry for pulling out of DotA though, I was thinking of coming and maybe barfing between games during the loading screen time, but the diahorrea meant that I would have been a major threat. What if I killed Warlock and got so excited I shat myself. Plus there were no diapers available so I couldn't risk it.
Woke up on Monday feeling faint with a massive pounding headache everytime I stood up or moved about. Doctor told me I had low blood pressure and was severely dehydrated. So at least I got one sick day out of this, it would have really sucked to spend the entire weekend doing nothing.
Since all I could do monday was sit around I spend if finishing Final Fantasy XII.
Yes I did it. At level 53 with no super weapons!!! My life is mine again and I will be celebrating by going out with real human beings this friday. The final boss battles are super cool and fun. I'm still sore about the battle system though, spent most of the game pushing up on my joystick. I think I might just replay FFX to get that fun FF feeling back. The final boss of FF12 so reminds me of the final boss of Vagrant Story and a particular monster you should all be familiar with.
Saw this movie called "Beerfest" yesterday that Ram downloaded. Its absolutely piss ass funny. He nearly choked and died on his dinner and my abdomen nearly ruptured, being already weak from the constant throwing up. Again if you guys can't download it give me a holler and I burn it for you.
Did anyone go see that Southpark episode I mentioned poking fun at anime "Good times with weapons"? You guys really should. Tell me what you think.
I decided to get a Seagate HDD after reading Sai's post. Will be waiting till payday since I'm trying to save my bonus up for migrating so I'll be waiting till be end of the month, will probably go ahead and buy the biggest size they have. As for upgrading my RAM I think I might just stick with 512MB, I dunno if I really need 1GB. Any opinions on this?
I feel totally detached from the world right now. I have no idea what is going on locally or globally. Heck I have no idea who got pwnd in DotA last weekend. |

Currently power leveling my characters in FFXII, nothing more to do and nothing worth mentioning. At the moment, waiting for Persona 3 and Rogue Galaxy. Gone back to play PS games using emulator, now playing Arc the Lad 3. Couldn't find my Chrono Cross cd, damn.....oh another PS2 games that is cutesy and nice by Square enix, Children of Mana (izzit? cant remember the name, but it's of the Legend of Mana and Sword of Mana series). Other than all this, DotA lo.
In 2 years time, Kuching will have few more new shopping complexes, although not as big as Mid Valley (one purportedly was said as vast as MV, not sure), but i guess it could be as big as Sungei Wang. All are under construction now, just a few more years. The biggest one is very near to my house, hehe, shopping spree or my new place to lepak. But the others are not too far provided that i can drive.
Been to Travillion (a place with a lot of bars, cafes, pubs, restaurants, etc and the price ranges from almost affordable to nearly unaffordable) last Friday. Got function and saw some really nice looking chicks, er.....filial looking (one of them is just like Jessica Alba look alike) wearing long gown, really nice. People dancing and shaking on stage, nothing worth mentioning. Had a bit headache due to high decibels, loud banging musics. Not drinking any beer (dun feel like drinking that day), tea will do, good for diet also. I just noticed also that when i drink tea like earl grey or mint tea, i like it plain, sugarless. i tried adding sugar to my tea and it tasted horrible. Tea should go plain. Well, unless if u say teh tarik. I usually go for sugarless ice lemon tea or grean tea. Not eating anything since the price is in the near affordable range. Besides, it's mostly western food which is not up to my taste, except Caeser Salad!!!

For magnus:
The price for the ram is reasonable. As for the hdd is okay as well but there will be some arguement about the brand. I strongly recommend you DO NOT buy maxtor hdd. Can try Seagate. It is much more stable and even given 5 years warranty. I think Samasung is ok also but the price for Samsung is a bit more expansive than Seagate. Seagate however is just 10 ringgit more expansive than Maxtor. Hope this will help you. |

I break out in cold sweat. Today is the first day of PC Fair. My bonus is happily sitting in my bank account pleading with me to spend it. Oh the ecstatic thoughts of 2GB of RAM, UV lights and cool PC Casings. 200GB hard disks. Graphics cards.
Sigh. I've gotta keep my money so that I can leave the country *sulk* No shopping for Magnus. Just a deep heartbreaking longing for PC components.
Well at least I've got my Celcom line now. 3G is a lot fast than EDGE. I've got 370kbps downloads and 60kbps uploads. You guys think that's enough for online DotAing? I don't wanna be the lagmaster.
At least I can download episodes of Naruto filler again.
You guys have got to go see Southpark's episode "Good times with weapons" It pokes fun at anime and you guys will love it, especially the theme song. Go download it or whatever. I have it on DVD if you guys can't find it online I'll pass it to you another time, can't do it this week since I'm leaing straight from the office.
I've basically spent my time working out and playing FF12. Right now I make it a point to exercise when I get home everyday, no matter what. Its just a short string of exercises so it takes like 20 mins. Then I play FF12 until my dinner time, then watch SouthPark, then sleep. Its made the days go by so fast I tell you.
Can't believe its already December. Time just flew.
I finished watching the Trinity Blood anime. I don't recommend it though, its really slow and boring for the most part until Abel activates Cruznik powers. If you guys want to see it anyway let me know and I'll burn it for ya, its about 24 episodes. |

Alright, i went out solo again, watching this Possessed movie. Just like magnus said, Amber Chia should remain modelling and should have never stepped into the realm of acting. Very true. Her acting is below average i reckon, or by my standard. But i will give her credits for making scary faces, really, she is good in this.
Ok, before we look at the photo below (u GUYS could have probably looked at it the very first instant, well, nvm), let's join in our hands and forget that Harisu was once a man. Yes, let's forget that fact. In real fact now, she (my reference now) look totally gorgeous in the movie. Even a lot prettier and sexier than Amber Chia. Just look at the pic below!!! In one part of the movie (a bit of spoiler) there is this sexy dance i shall call it. She totally rocks!!! Now feast ur eyes with the picture. Warlock, dun drool, u call me a sicko before, but i think ur "tower" should be tingling with excitement now. And sorry for the excessive exposure (this is to Kavi), just wan to show warlock. (warlock, all jokes lar, dun be to serious :P). Remeber last time the controversial marriage of the transvestite Jessie? I think she would kill for a bod like this. What ya think?
Overall, the movie is nothing new, just that i dun like the idea of depicting Sarawak especially Kuching as sorta haunted land. If anyone would ask me this kind of questions, i would reply 'yea, i have guardians with me now, wanna talk to them?'.
