So, I rediscovered the joys of sleeping in and called in sick. Not like I could get any bloody work done since our pussy server has AIDS. Though I might as well make a post since its been awhile. Although now I'm back in this hellhole again and the fucking computers still don't fucking work!!! See its bad enough I have a soul crushing job of meaningless tedium, now I can't even surf the internet to pass the time and I can't do any work. Oh the days are getting longer and I just want the end of the month to arrive so I can finally tender my resignation.
The irony of it all is that I am at work and sick, threw up a substantial portion of my breakfast today morning. That was not fun!

Well it finally came out. I must say i haven't been this excited about a movie in a long time. I'd heard about 300 awhile back and never bothered thinking it was probably some independent film production that the fags would go and watch and then pat themselves on the back over how non-conformist they were. Then I saw the trailer before 'Ghost Rider' and it blew me away.
I was a bit worried that the movie would suck, after all, the best trailers are usually for the shittiest movies. Trusted my movie sense and went to see 300 and it was absolutely mind-blowing. It is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. Of course it doesn't beat 'Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King', when Theoden and the riders of Rohan charge on the plains of Pellenor, it was the most beautiful thing in movie history, I wanted to scream and run along too, people in the cinema were sobbing. I cried in the cinema too, I NEVER cry in the cinema. Yes Kavi!! I cried, not the sobbing bawling drama that I'm sure you like getting into, just some mild tearing. It was a very moving show. Basically the two most incredible scenes in tv/movie history for me are the charge of the Rohirrim on the plains of Pellenor and the final battel between Optimus Prime and Megatron. I'd add in the latter, but I can't access youtube from the office.
Since I'm not at work I can make this post more interesting, and I am moved to put in the clip from LotR:RotK for you to behold should you choose to.
Back to 300, it rocked, everyone should go watch it. The action scenes were nothing short of gorgeous. Gerard Butler IS King Leonidas. The Spartans kick ass like you wouldn't believe. No clips though, must see in the cinema, I'm pissed they're not screening it in IMAX here.
On a side note: Salty Peanuts III, you can meet up with me in the evenings during the week or on Friday evening and we can watch in Midvalley and then take the train to Seremban. Saturday night is fine for me too, but I don't know if Warlock can make it. DotA is most likely Saturday morning. To add on, it looks like we're all up for one wild Friday night in Seremban since everyone is now going to see 300. Warlock, just tell me where to meet up, either Kemayan Square or Terminal 1.
Oh I managed to get into youtube, so here is the Transformers scene I was talking about
"One shall stand. One shall fall." Oh hell yeah!!! I'm going to say that every time I negotiate the with the banks from now on. Every boy who wasn't a goth or a fag remembers this as the ultimate Transformers moment, and who didn't get just a little bit teary eyed when Optimus kicked the bucket. If the movie coming out in summer 2007 can duplicate the qualities of this scene I think most of us will be satisfied. Sadly, I keep thinking that the upcoming Transformers movie will be a complete fuck up. Only time and an RM11 ticket will tell...
Argh!!! I haven't seen this scene in ages. Lost my Transformers the Movie VCD. Anyone got? Please burn for me, there's a lunch/breakfast/DotA session in it for you. Ah so satisfying, Optimus Prime runs them down!!!! Don't fuck with Prime YEAH!!!! Booyah!!! Hotrod is a fag though, Rodimus was slightly cool for the last 5 mins of the movie then sucked ass the rest of the series.
P.S. the drums and guitar riffs are quite good in this song. Try uploading it into your mp3 player and see if the pitch is good ;P I don't like singing, but I could so get into drumming or electric guitar, too bad I don't have the time in between work and my other activities.
By the way, was "Pan's Labyrinth" any good? I mean would I like it or is it more of a boring, finding yourself kind of drama? Watching 300 basically killed of all chances of me going to see any other film in the cinema for this month.
Racism in 300 but mostly racism
It was very interesting to read about the accusations of racism hurled at 300. I mean of course all the fuckheads would start the whole oh 300 parallels the war in Iraq bullshit. I mean the damn comic was released in 1998!!!!
But the racism. I mean they're complaining that dark skinned people were cast as persians and cut down by the white spartans. So black people can never be cast as villains now. Sheesh!!! And the Spartans, I mean the Spartans were white!!! What do they want? Busta Rhymes as Leonidas?!?!?! Fucking idiots!! I have a few things to say about racism but I'll update later since I have a lunch appointment. Check back here later.
Okay so what is the deal with this racism bullshit!?!? Obviously since the story calls for Spartan warriors they have to be white right. I've been doing some thinking about racism.
Is a racist belief a belief where you hold that a person has certain qualities based on their race? Does it matter if those qualities are negative or positive. I believe its equally racist to say Chinese people are very studious as it is to say Indian people are mostly gangsters. Or saying Malays are lazy and Chinese people are 'hardworking'.
We all have our own prejudices of course. The world needs prejudice to function. But of course I think people should be open to re-evaluating their views whenever new evidence comes to light.
The black vs. white thing gets carried too far in the U.S.A. though, if they don't hire blacks to act in movies its racist, if they hire blacks but they're cast as villains its racist. Basically the only way forward is to only hire black people to play heroes in all movies. You don't hear these bitches bawling, "OMG!!! They cast a white man as the villain, they're saying white people are evil!! RACISM!!!"
Racism should be combatted in real life, but I can't stand it when people go looking for racism in everything. It annoys me.
Incidentally, I hate being I identified as indian. I will be honest and say for the most part I do not like indian people. They're always bugging me about shit. Anyway people tell me I'm indian, but can never answer why I am indian. I ask them, why do you call me indian? I'm not from india, I don't hold citizenship there, they won't let me in without proper documentation. I don't practice and indian culture (the assumption is hinduist religious and cultural practices, but India has an equally large muslim and bhuddist population). I like curry, but so do loads of other people.
So why the fuck are you telling me I'm indian. The truth is it boils down to my black skin doesn't it? I mean these people look and me and call me indian with no real basis. I'm not an indian citizen, I don't practice any of the major indian religions (in any case I'm be a hindu etc.). Its the truth isn't it, black skin, he's indian, and I have this whole load of crap foisted upon me. That's racism.
Suddenly I'm supposed to know Tamil? Why? Because its my mother tongue. Bullshit! My mother spoke english. India ain't my mother country, I can't even go there to live or work without being treated as a foreigner. I'm supposed to go out with indian girls. Why? Is it because blackies should only go out with other blackies(note: I don't subscribe to the concept of indian girls).
I am not indian! I mean what I say. I'm not trying to distance myself from indians because I look down on the people that categorise themselves as indian (although its hard not to when I see a load of them squatting outside the hospital for parang slash treatment EVERY FUCKING TIME I go to Seremban GH). But back to the topic, I don't try to distance myself, but I couldn't possible be more distant. Everyone should be free to live how they want to. But someone coming up to me and telling my I'm indian and that he/she expects me to behave in a certain way is racism and it pisses me off, because of the basis that statement is made on.
Feel free to call me indian once India officially recognises me as a citizen. Does this make sense? I sometimes wonder what the 'indian' guys on the blog think when I say stuff like this. Do you think it makes sense?

My lunch outing on Tuesday. Friendships defined
So as I mentioned yesterday, I went to meet up with an old college mate who is now an advocate & solicitor. She says she enjoys the work, but its hard work. I never quite got that though, either you enjoy what you're doing or its hard work. I know its just something people say, an expression if you will. But doesn't enjoying something make it cease to be hard work (the way grinding in an RPG is effortless for those of us that enjoy it but absolute tedium for those that don't).
Had a massive banana leaf lunch since I skipped breakfast, complete with Mutton varuval and chicken peratal. Also got a nice conversation about this other former friend of mine. You see when I started A-Levels I befriended this girl called Ashwini and we basically were friends throughout A-Levels and the Law Degree program. The problem was her personality is exactly like my dad's, and this meant that we used to have arguments on a regular basis, sometime we wouldn't speak for months.
Anyway, about 2 years ago I finally got fed up with her. I realised that this is a friendship that basically caused me annoyance on a regular basis and so I told her to piss off. I always kept the friendship alive I guess because we'd been friends for a long time. Which was stupid, at least to me. Friendships are relationships and if you have a relationship that regulalrly causes you stress you terminate it. Staying just because of the age of the relationship isn't good enough.
Seems a bit weird to blog about it, but yesterday's chat just got me thinking, and I don't know how well the rest of you take friendship. For me, my friendship is conditional, I want entertainment, conversation, activity partners, not people around whom I have to watch what I say, be uncomfortable about talking about certain things etc. Of course for my friends that fulfil this criteria, I will be there for them when they need me, or if they're going through a rough patch. After all, I've got enough annoying people whom I have to tolerate and keep my guard up around...they're called family. So I expect my friends to entertain me, just as I try to entertain them.
TEH scariest mall stalking incident EVAR!!!!
After lunch I walked my friend to her bus and then decided to pay a quick visit to Kota Raya, where I used to buy the bulk of my video games. They've renovated it a bit, but its basically the same shithole it was 2 years ago.
As I was walking to the escalator on the 2nd floor, this guy walked past me and sort of bumped into me, more like a graze. He stopped a few steps behind me, turned around and mumbled something, and started following me. Of course crazy people abound in that area of town so I didn't think much of it. He follows me up talking to himself (at least I think he was), and them calls out to me and says something like "abu abu". I didn't know what the fuck he was saying, so I just gave him the 'hand' (my all powerful move for dealing with Petaling Street beggars and madcaps) and carried on.
After shopping around I get into the lift to head back down, and guess who comes into the lift. Yup, the weird dude. And so he calls me 'thambi' which promptly pisses me off, I hate how ulu people call every young indian looking guy thambi, it implies familiarity. Anyway I ask him what, and he asks me "Mau Blue?"
Yup, my 'stalker' was basically trying to peddle porno to me for one of the DVD shops upstairs. Its tradition I guess, I cannot show my face around that part of town without being offered pornography. I guess I have the porno lover face.
I declined of course, not because of morality, just that I prefer to download my porn these days. Or I just swipe my dad's DVDs and keep the ones I like.
Depression. Adole and the rest of us
Instead of just responding to Adole I thought I'd write a bit here instead. The topic of depression has come up a couple of times this past week with different people. I think its important for us to realise that depression is an affliction that hits all of us at some point or another in our lives. The key to dealing with it is not escapism (eating, drinking, smoking, gaming, etc.) but realisation.
Nothing will kill your life off faster than being depressed. You will cripple your social life either by being 'lazy' or you will drive people away because let's face it, no one wants to hang around a killjoy.You lose motivation to do anything. Depression perpetuates itself and it doesn't just go away in time.
Example. You're depressed with say breaking up with girlfriend, you start being sulky at work and around friends. You're performance at work suffers, and people notice, resulting in depression. Your friends start distancing themselves after awhile, you feel depressed, alone, abandoned. You meet another girl you like, but you spend your time being depressed over liking her, "Oh she'll never go out with me". The depressing wibe you give out makes her avoid dating you, or kills the relationship in the end.
The only real way to fight depression is through awareness or drugs (I mean like prozac, not cocain). Depression is mostly subconscious. You see things happening in a negative light because you're depressed, not because the things that are happening are causing you to be depressed. So to those of you who are depressed, lacking in will, bored, weak....stand up now and get the fuck over it!!!!
P.S. to Adole, I would love to hear about what originally made you depressed. Was it a girl? Work? Family? Think back and let me know what it was that originally made you so 'bored', not the stuff that you feel cranky about now. Forget it if you feel its too personal.
Let me put it this way. You are a ROTTING SACK OF MEAT!!! You will die one day, this I promise you. If you're lucky it won't be that soon. So don't piss your life away being depressed. Act, do, feel, live. Doesn't matter what you do as long as you enjoy it, as long as you feel alive. There's plenty of time to rot in your shell of flesh after life is over, don't do it while you're still breathing.
SPM Results. Does anyone give a shit?
I know Lali has probably received her result by now so congratulations/condolences to her. Here I was thinking Lali was like Kavi's big sister, but I guess I was wrong.
Anyway, does anyone feel like SPM has just degenerated into a big fucking joke? I mean with all the A1s or 1As or whatever being awarded doesn't it just make the whole process meaningless? Take any 1st world school system of your choice, is it held in high regard because they award high grades to their students or because of the quality of their teachers and curicullum?
Although, I loved exams mostly because of the pussies that would faint or cry. Absolutely hilarious. These people are so concerned about the exams, and they do the worst possible thing, they freak out in the exam hall.
So kudos to all our students who scored 16/17/18/2,000,000 As. The world doesn't give a shit. Most of you will go on to do A-Levels/STPM/SAM/an other number of pre-U courses because you got screwed by our education system. A glorious waste of time school was, but at least I got to mee Warlock, Arc and Siriuz.
My dreams
Its not what you think. This isn't about my hopes for the future etc. It's about this dream I had last night. I was in this huge house/masion with this couple who were rejoicing on the birth of their son, they were very adamant that they only want a son to carry on the family name and not a daughter.
Later I was wanderig around the house and went up the stairs and saw this final flight of stairs going all the way up to the attic. In the attic I saw this cupboard with the doors open and the body of a little baby girl with her severed head lying beside it. I whispered "murderers" and the girl's eyes opened and looked right at me, they were orange. I woke up after that, and the ju-on style creaking of my bed didn't help.
Any dream interpreters here? I'm curious if this has any meaning since there was no one I actually know in the dream.
Of gaming, anime and computers
So I was feeling torn for awhile about gaming. As most of you know I'm leaving for the USA later in the year and since I have no career to prioritise here, my priority is finishing as many games as I can since I will most likel be unable to play in the States. Games vs. My Fiancee = games get pwnd by my fiancee everytime. Still, I also have tons of shows to watch, I still haven't seen the 'Bleach' episodes that Siriuz burned for me.
I started playing Digital Devil Saga 2 and Resident Evil Outbreak. I love the music in DDS2 even more than the first. Saly Bluelaguna doesn't have the soundtrack. Outbreak is okay, but has massively long loadtimes. Fortunately its quite short so I should be able to finish it soon.

Gave up on Disgaea 2. I don't like the main characters and I miss Laharl, don't care if he's an optional character. So I decided to let it go instead of sinking in 100+ hours into the game.
Overall, I'll be going on sabbatical from gaming soon to tend to many other aspects of life that I've been neglecting, particularly spending time with my friends in KL that I will actually miss once I go away.
I saw 18 episodes of ".hack//SIGN" and I wanted to blow my brains out. It is so intensely boring and Tsukasa is such a bitch that I don't even care what happens to him/her. Gave it up and tossed the DVDs so I'm not tempted to waste my time on it in the hope's it will get better. I plan to start watching "Bleach" today though.
I'll try to post some art and videos here to give you guys an idea of the kind of stuff I am playing and watching.

Sadly the damn genuine nagware got installed even though I had it unchecked and instructed updates to not remind me of it. The question is this. I have my firewall disabled and no other firewall software running, only AVG Antivirus and it has no firewall. Yet my Morpheus and Limewire both log me as firewalled. I'm starting to think that this is why my hamachi is also crapping out. Any ideas?

Now I have to ask is that whether the Celcom 3G is blocking the port or your pc problem .Seeing you say there is no firewall on on your pc. then I think is the ISP. try contact the tech support and ask whether they do open the port or not.

being called an indian i feel is just a name given to us (because we originate from india) by the rest of humanity as it is their custom to group things together or to want to be part of a group. Everything has a group;age,race,height,weight,gender,sexuality,patients,financial status and so on. Once they place themselves in their respective groups, anything and everything negative that is done to them or someone they deem part of their group is outrages and has the need to be fought. This in a way gives meaning to their pathetic lives and makes them happy....which is the ultimate goal of all humans....happiness.
Magnus, i like DDS2 also ^^ it's nice, i like the battle music, a bit of heavy bass kind of music. The graphic is quite ok, better especially the city.

Hey Adole, I've been thinking. I started DDS2 with my DDS save for the stat bonus and the karma rings I get for defeating the optional bosses. I erased my DDS file alread and am at the first boss in DDS2.
Was thinking about hard mode since you get to fight Satan. Have you tried hard mode? If I restart now I lose my stat bonuses and karma rings earned from the DDS save. What you think? Should I
Magnus, i started with my save files from DDS but i did not see big differences. i havent tried hard mode yet, i think normal mode is hard enuf already lol(one of the bosses kick my ass so hard, i just stop playing for a while, trying to lv up). If u wan to try hard mode and u have plenty of space in ur memory card(s), try saving another file. until u r sure everything in hard mode is ok, then only delete the save. i did not defeat any optional bosses in DDS, so i guess mine did not show huge differences.
Oh well, its just one optional boss that's extra in hard mode. I wonder what Satan looks like though. Going to stick with normal then.
Oh for the DDS conversion. You get stat bonuses depending of how many mantra you master, most is +5 to all stats. You get some additional Karma Rings for beating Jack Frost, Metatron etc but you only get them later in DDS2 at the point you get Karma Rings
Of course you don't cry for soppy dramas Kavi, you cry for EVERYTHING else; exams, drivers test, TEH scary stuff ;P

Adole, the stat bonus of +5 to all stats is only available if you master all mantra in the first game for that character. So my Serph and Argilla quite good, but Gale and Cielo koyak.
God of War 2 was so good I'm just salivating and waiting to finish it.

Hey Adole, I love DDS 2, it's the bomb!! They made the music even cooler, still love the level up screen tunes the most. Oh and how Argilla's chest burns and she regurgitates items and gives them to Serph and Serph seems happy ^_^ (Argilla is a woman whose demon form has no face but she has a sharp toothed mouth of each boob)

being called an indian i feel is just a name given to us (because we originate from india) by the rest of humanity as it is their custom to group things together or to want to be part of a group.
Everything has a group;age,race,height,weight,gender,sexuality,patients,financial status and so on.
Once they place themselves in their respective groups, anything and everything negative that is done to them or someone they deem part of their group is outrages and has the need to be fought.
This in a way gives meaning to their pathetic lives and makes them happy....which is the ultimate goal of all humans....happiness.

Hey Adole, I've been thinking. I started DDS2 with my DDS save for the stat bonus and the karma rings I get for defeating the optional bosses. I erased my DDS file alread and am at the first boss in DDS2.
Was thinking about hard mode since you get to fight Satan. Have you tried hard mode? If I restart now I lose my stat bonuses and karma rings earned from the DDS save. What you think? Should I

Magnus, i started with my save files from DDS but i did not see big differences. i havent tried hard mode yet, i think normal mode is hard enuf already lol(one of the bosses kick my ass so hard, i just stop playing for a while, trying to lv up). If u wan to try hard mode and u have plenty of space in ur memory card(s), try saving another file. until u r sure everything in hard mode is ok, then only delete the save. i did not defeat any optional bosses in DDS, so i guess mine did not show huge differences.
Persona 3 will rocks also. hahaha

Oh well, its just one optional boss that's extra in hard mode. I wonder what Satan looks like though. Going to stick with normal then.
Oh for the DDS conversion. You get stat bonuses depending of how many mantra you master, most is +5 to all stats. You get some additional Karma Rings for beating Jack Frost, Metatron etc but you only get them later in DDS2 at the point you get Karma Rings

my eyes get teary when i watch romance movie especially the korean one, they r really good in making people cry, but i m not crying, just getting so touch usually till i get a bit teary. the feeling is so good. Some good one would be Windstruck, My girl and I, Tutor and I, Almost Love, etc. some i forgot name liao. i GUARANTEE kavi will cry like kitten when watching them.

Adole, the stat bonus of +5 to all stats is only available if you master all mantra in the first game for that character. So my Serph and Argilla quite good, but Gale and Cielo koyak.
God of War 2 was so good I'm just salivating and waiting to finish it.
